Data Deletion

Effective date: October 2, 2026

1. What this page is for

This page explains how to have Avanta Group LLC (“Avanta”) delete personal data, and how to check the status of a deletion request. It applies to travel agencies that use the Avanta workspace, to their staff, and to travellers and other people whose data an agency holds in Avanta, including people who have written to an agency on Facebook Messenger, Instagram or WhatsApp.

2. If you are a traveller or a customer of an agency

The agency you dealt with decides what happens to the data in its workspace, so the quickest route is to ask that agency. You can also write to us at privacy@avantatravel.io. Tell us the name of the agency and how you contacted it (for example the email address, phone number or social media account you used). We pass the request to the agency, help it act on it, and confirm to you when it is done.

3. If you connected Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp to Avanta

When an agency connects a Facebook Page, an Instagram professional account or a WhatsApp Business number, we hold the identifiers of that channel, an encrypted access token, and the messages and profile names received through it. You can remove our access in either of these ways:

  • In the workspace. An administrator opens Organization → Channels and disconnects the channel. The access token is erased immediately.
  • In Facebook or Instagram. On Facebook, open Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, find Avanta and choose Remove. On Instagram, open Settings → Apps and websites. Meta tells us about the removal, and we revoke and erase the access tokens for every channel that authorization covered. Meta shows you a confirmation code and a link back to this page.

Removing access erases the tokens. It does not erase the conversation history, which is the agency’s record of its dealings with its customers, and it does not delete anything held by Meta itself. To have messages and profile names deleted as well, delete the conversations in the workspace or ask us by email as described below.

4. If you are an agency or a member of its staff

  • Your own user account. Ask an administrator of your organization to remove you, or write to us.
  • Records in the workspace. Administrators can delete records such as contacts and conversations in the workspace.
  • The whole account. An owner of the organization can ask us to close the account by writing to privacy@avantatravel.io from the email address of an owner. We delete the organization’s data as described in section 6.

5. Asking us by email

Write to privacy@avantatravel.io from the email address connected to the data, and tell us what you would like deleted. We may ask for information to confirm who you are, so that we do not delete data at the request of someone who has no right to ask. We acknowledge every request and complete it within 30 days. If a request is complex we may need longer, and we will tell you so within those 30 days.

6. What we delete, and what we must keep

When a request is approved we delete the data from our live systems. Copies in our backups are overwritten on our normal backup cycle and are not used in the meantime.

We keep only what the law requires or allows us to keep, for as long as it does:

  • Booking, invoice, payment and tax records, which travel and tax laws require to be retained.
  • Records needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, or to prevent fraud.
  • A minimal record of the deletion request itself, so we can show that it was carried out.

7. Checking the status of a request

If Meta gave you a confirmation code, open this page with it, for example /data-deletion?code=YOUR-CODE, to see whether the request is in progress or completed. For a request made by email, reply to our acknowledgement and we will tell you where it stands.
