Cookie Policy
Effective date: October 2, 2026
1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Avanta Group LLC (“Avanta”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (avantatravel.io, including the blog), in the Avanta workspace (the signed-in application, also presented as TravelOS), and on the public storefront sites that travel agencies publish with Avanta. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies do the same job in a different way: local storage keeps small pieces of information in your browser, and a pixel is a short piece of code that tells a third party that a page was viewed. In this policy “cookies” covers all of them.
3. The cookies we use
Strictly necessary. These keep you signed in to the workspace and keep your session secure. The service cannot work without them, so they are always on.
| Name | Where | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
avanta_access | Workspace | Proves you are signed in on each request. It cannot be read by scripts on the page. | 15 minutes |
avanta_refresh | Workspace | Renews your session without asking you to sign in again. It cannot be read by scripts on the page. | 8 hours |
avanta_session_started | Workspace | Records when you signed in, so a session ends after its maximum length. | 24 hours |
| Sign-in state (local storage) | Workspace | Kept by our authentication provider, Google Firebase Authentication, to complete and maintain sign-in. | Until you sign out |
avanta_consent | Website | Remembers which optional cookies you accepted or refused, so we do not ask again. | 6 months |
Preferences. These remember choices you make so you do not have to make them again.
| Name | Where | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
i18nextLng | Website, workspace and storefronts | Remembers the language you chose. Stored as a cookie and in local storage. | 1 year |
| Interface preferences (local storage) | Workspace | Remembers layout choices such as a list or board view, and which items you have already read. | Until you clear your browser storage |
Marketing and measurement. With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel on our website, blog and legal pages to measure how our advertising on Facebook and Instagram performs and to count demo requests. It is not loaded in the workspace or on agency storefronts.
| Name | Provider | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp | Meta Platforms | Identifies your browser so that page views and demo requests on our website can be attributed to our adverts. | 3 months |
_fbc | Meta Platforms | Set when you arrive from one of our adverts, to record which advert brought you. | 3 months |
Through the pixel, Meta receives the address of the page you viewed, your browser and device details and your IP address, and may combine them with what it already knows about you. Meta is responsible for its own use of that information; see Meta’s Privacy Policy.
We do not use cookies to sell personal information, and the workspace contains no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
4. Agency storefronts
A storefront is a travel agency’s own website, built and published with Avanta. We set only the language preference described above. The agency that runs the site may add its own scripts, for example analytics or advertising tags, and those may set further cookies. The agency decides whether to use them and is responsible for telling you about them and, where the law requires it, for asking for your consent.
5. How to control cookies
- Cookie settings. The first time you visit our website we ask which optional cookies you accept, and none of them is used until you say yes. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page of our website.
- Your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies you will not be able to sign in to the workspace.
- Meta advertising. You can control how Meta uses activity from other websites in your Meta ad preferences and Off-Facebook activity settings.
- Industry opt-outs. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at aboutads.info (United States) or youronlinechoices.eu (Europe).
- Ask us. Where the law gives you the right to opt out of the sharing of personal information for advertising, you can also exercise it by writing to us at the address below.
6. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies we use change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised.
